Today I spent most of my day at a developer place transferring files. The operation took a long time to accomplish and in the end his laptop crashed. He ended up calling me late at night while I was cooking dinner. We chatted a bit, but this guy is very dry. I can see him doing the fancy deals but he's a very reserved wasp. I'm jealous...I'm kinda the same way.
Lastly, but not least...I bought the textbook to my online course. It might be just folly on my part, but I have to get serious about finding another vocation that is near my line of work. I think my best shot at life is to be a technical writer. That's the last field left that I'm capable of doing and learning and enjoying into my senior years.

This is a day which will live in infamy
President Roosevelt said that almost 3/4 of a century ago about the bombing of Pearl Harbor. So as the 5th aniversery of the World Trade Center bombing is fast approaching and I'm just thinking of hiding underneath my bed. I have a job tomorrow that I have to comute to in the morning but the prospect of randomly being shot at because I'm "not Irish but living in Massachusetts" is giving me the creeps. I'm thinking of canceling the entire plan until later on in the week. Of course, one has to live dangerously to get anywhere in life.
