When the day's suck

There are those days, my friends. The days when everything seems to go wrong, when companies that book you on appointments screw up. When the next guy to call you, has a motherboard that looks like spagetti with no diagrams to look through. When someone you count on for support and guidance is back to his old tricks of marginalizing your friendship and taking you for granted. When even your old friends take advantage of your good nature. What's happening in this world? I think I know the answer but it involves expanding my rolodex. I gotta meet new people and make new friends. Maybe even find a lover or two? The emotional drain, is wearing me down:(

Is writing a cure for depression?

I just read something in a book about writing that surprised me. It was claiming that writer's need to write as a let off for steam, if not their depression, at least as a physiological need. I'm wondering if that's really going to work for me, so, here I go with my daily blog which I will attempt every day. I'm mostly a politically humorous type, but I denfinately want to expand my horizons and blog my heart out.

My thoughts on the book and its claim about writing curing the blues: does that include fingerpainting? Did the guy from My Left Foot get his depression cured because he wrote with his toes? How about Hitler writing Mein Kampf from a prison cell? Was he a depressed personality or what? Then there's the multitude of people that are drooling at the mouth sitting in the asylums of the world. Do they know how to write? Sometimes this is better than zoloft, but other times I'm gonna reach for the pill.

Thousands Decry Immigration Bill in L.A. - Yahoo! News I gotta tell you folks. I'm HAPPY as anything that this bill is about to pass Congress. For decades now, illegals have been crossing the border with no reprecussions for their actions and then winding up all over the states. Mexico is basically trying to re-populate the southwest with Mexicans that would be a 'reconquista' of the territory. The bill to make them accountable to make the crossing illegally and to give them work permits is solving both sideds of the equation.

I'm gonna rock this blog

I just got kicked out of blogit because my subscription ran out on me. I'm not in the mood to pay another 200 bucks so I guess that's it for them. I'll be posting on here more often than not. Look out world! Here I come!
