Time to immigrate?
What a day! Christmas is being celebrated throughout most of America but I’m still in a mode to either work or emigrate to get away from this nutty place. The more I think about it, the more I want to live in Vancouver, BC. Canada has a lot more taxes, but it has the metric system and perhaps a fairer standard of living. I’m impressed by what I hear about the Canadians. Their politics is not as harsh as this place, with a commonwealth of countries system that might be a little less unruly

I get no respect
Today was an interesting day. I learned that AOL really sucks, even for their broadband service. One of my clients made 3 calls to AOL with no luck! They kept giving him the runaround until he was frustrated enough to scream. Just by co-incidence, I plugged a network cable into the wrong port on the router, and that combined with a ppoe setting(you'll have to look that up) got me online. I guessed later that adding an aol dialer, without adding the actual program, would get me online from a laptop wirelessly; and it worked!
On the way back, I tried calling Collen, the lady that I had a long conversation with on Wednesday. She picked up the phone and immediately slammed it down when she heard my voice! No respect my friends, no respect. Then to tap it all off, I got a call from Onforce claiming that the phone problem that I went to fix, couldn't be fixed by another tech. They have to call the phone company to fix it and they want me to take the heat. I had to explain how this problem existed before I got there and may need a deeper fix than either of us were capable of doing. It burned my blood a bit to know that so many people need a scapegoat instead of fixing the damm problem.
Just an afternote...I need to focus on the positive instead of the negative. I had a good day overall and made a client very happy. That's the main point of this day!

Always have a tone generator
This was another day of bad frustrations. I went to a long-term hotel to try and trace a line that went bad. Well, the line is a phone line and my testing kit is for a network cable. So, I went into the phone area and tried to visually trace it on the punch panel. I think I found it but no matter what I did, I couldn't get it to work. Since, I didn't have the right equipment, I just had to head home. What a rough day!

A hectic day
I went to 3 sites today but didn't take a picture of any of them. Sorry. I almost forgot my phone at one of the sites, but remembered it when my bluetooth headset beeped when it went out of range.

A day full of wonder
I had to go back to the doc's place because the "new" video card gave out. I'm hoping that it wasn't the motherboard because I gave him a 2 year old card that I had and that worked. Then I had major problems with his profile and everything else on their. So, it's wipe and reload! Now he's got a new computer but there's still a bit of work to do. I might remote in over the weekend and get it done. Meanwhile, my other big client can't find a stupid accounting file on her system. I was supposed to go there today but couldn't make it because of my previous committment. It sucks when your squeezed for time.

A long day of frustrations
I had a really long day today. At first I had a premonition that it would be bad when my battery in my remote lock gave out. I opened the car with the key but the alarm went off for about 5mins, blaring away at the neighborhood.
Then I couldn't find my client for about an hour downtown. I lost his number and I forgot the building! When I finally found him, and then started work, I got an emergency call from another client. I had to go over there to fix her problems. Then on the way back, my GPS gave me the wrong damn directions, again! I remembered where he lived and fixed his personal computer.
Then it was back to the office again to transer over the old files to the new. My KVM switch didn't work, which made my day because I had to manually unhook and rehook all the computer cables. Then finally, my evening client was angry that I couldn't make it today. I have to go there at 8am tomorrow, and I hate waking up early! Yikes!

Worcester Women are Bitches
I find it a bit difficult to say this, but in general, Women from Worcester are bitches. I interacted with a hair salon owner the other day who was complaining all the time about the amount of money that she was paying me to get sonic wall installed. Then she totally blew me off the other morning after I tried to help her and thought I was coming on to her. What a stupid wench! A lot of women are too stupid to keep a clear head, this bitch was no exception!

the beginning of a bad day
I went to this ladys house and noticed that her imac G5 did "smell" and I told her that it needed benching. The Compusa phone operator didn't agree with me. I had to close this out for $0 and go home.

It's Odd how things work out
People will give you praise when your onsite and get the job done. It's when you go off site and the criticism starts, that things fall apart. I'm always appreciated when I'm at a site but usually kicked around a bit when I come off the site. Why? Who knows. I got a lot of praise by the supervisor on the site but did not get the same in return when it was time for the ratings system. This sucks.
Sad but Gross
There's a really gross picture of this little girl with a tumor in her mouth. It's disgusting but I feel so sorry for the girl. I wonder how she eats? Is there love out there for her?

Can't sleep this morning
I keep thinking of things that happenned in the past. Old hatreds and insults spring into my mind and I keep daydreaming through the morning hours. I haven't gotten up this early in a while but its a good thing. I'm heading for New Hampshire the whole day so I've got a big day planned.

Watching Star Wars
I haven't seen this whole movie in a while, which makes it even more of a blast. I'm looking at from a different prespective almost 30 years later. I,m trying to remember where I saw this movie when it was released. I think it was the theatre in downtown Worcester...they're ripping it apart today.
A funky new world
Can you believe that's the Christmas tree? This place has all it's own traditions. there is no turkey here, but then again Mohegan is built on Indian land. And they lost, right after they and the white man celebrated together.
